Growth Information Specialist

Provides specialized research and analysis related to population, household, and employment forecasts to support regional master planning for service delivery, business analysis, and financial decisions. Administers data and growth-related projects; collaborates with internal and external staff, senior leadership, and project management to prepare reports and respond to data requests; liaises with municipalities, ministries, post-secondary institutions, and consultants. Leads development of annual population, household, and employment forecasts used for master, servicing, and financial planning; develops forecasting methods and benchmark comparisons with external agencies. Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses on environmental, land use, economic, demographic, and housing factors to support regional infrastructure planning and service delivery; prepares statistical reports and data profiles; coordinates information management projects; supports staff and students; and travels within Waterloo Region for data collection and stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of planning processes, growth forecasting, data sources (StatsCan, CMHC), GIS, and software (Office, Excel, Access); strong communication, project management, and data-ownership skills. Ability to work with internal committees and external partners, present complex information clearly, and adhere to corporate policies and privacy requirements.
