Job Summary
Ensure plants receive appropriate nutrients and water based on established protocols while observing and adjusting the greenhouse environment to maintain optimal growing conditions. Monitor plant health and minimize waste through proactive management strategies, including Integrated Pest Management tasks such as monitoring for pests and applying treatments. Maintain accurate records of crop conditions, shrink reports, and spray applications, and communicate daily with the Head Grower and Senior Grower to coordinate tasks. Keep the work environment clean and organized. Valid spray/pesticide license required; willing to be on call and work weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Horticulture degree or diploma
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of greenhouse management systems
- Self-motivated with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willing to be on call and work weekends as needed
- Valid spray/pesticide license
