Job Summary
Select the finish type per work instructions and examine parts for acceptability. Operate grinders and carbide burr tools to remove burrs, blend, and polish surfaces on metals like steel, aluminum, magnesium, and titanium. Perform daily equipment inspections, report issues, and replace worn belts or grinding wheels. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines and ITAR compliance requirements. This role requires regular on-site attendance and involves lifting up to 50 pounds in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. permanent residence (Green Card)
- U.S. protected person status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in reading and accurately interpreting shop blueprints, technical drawings, and customer specifications
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role requiring the use of hand tools and material-handling equipment
- Recent vocational training in a metal-working or other technical role
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including mics and calipers
- Experience using powered electric and/or pneumatic hand tools, including grinders or sanders
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
