Job Summary
Clinical Groups Facilitator coordinates and delivers evidence-based group therapy across recovery and mental health topics for a 32-bed inpatient ATS-Detox/CSS program. Responsibilities include leading psycho-educational and therapeutic groups using Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Relapse Prevention; collaborating with the Research and Evaluation Team to integrate patient feedback; offering arts, meditation, and recreational groups to boost engagement; managing materials and program supplies; providing supplemental learning activities; participating in weekly clinical meetings; supporting trauma-informed practices; and performing other duties to support clinical services in an integrated, team-treatment model. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and Spanish proficiency; experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions is preferred; onsite schedule of five days per week including one weekend day.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
- Spanish required
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Certified Alcohol Counselor preferred
- Experience working with populations with substance use disorders. Experience with psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders preferred
- Familiarity in working in a strength-based, trauma-informed environment
- Experience with individuals dealing with homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system
- Experienced in crisis management and intervention
- Experience providing group interventions to the target population
- Strong verbal/written communication
- Ability to work as both an effective team member and independently
- Knowledge & Practice of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention and motivational interviewing techniques preferred
- Ability to meet the physical requirements and training requirements of the position
