Job Summary
Coordinate group tours for the museum by handling inquiries and reservations via phone, in-person, and email; communicate museum policies to group leaders; research prospective groups to support visitation goals; maintain and update internal tour records and databases; assist with ticket scanning and distribution of assisted listening devices; route non-adult requests to appropriate departments; participate in docent trainings and advisory meetings; manage donations and report visitation numbers; provide floor and events support as needed. Hourly rate $20.00, up to 28 hours per week; part-time benefits included (membership, free admission for members, store and restaurant discounts, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent skills in organization, verbal and interpersonal communication, and customer service
- Ability to communicate tactfully with visitors, colleagues, docents, volunteers, and community partners
- Must be detail oriented
- Computer and ticket selling experience a plus but not necessary
