Job Summary
Group Sales Manager responsible for soliciting new group sales accounts and maintaining relationships to meet or exceed revenue goals across rooms, food & beverage, and room rental. Duties include aggressive prospecting via telephone and outside calls, site inspections, presenting, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales, coordinating hotel departments, delivering persuasive client presentations, entertaining clients, and participating in trade shows and industry meetings to drive revenue. Must develop information for clients, prepare internal reports, and participate in sales-related meetings, with a focus on maximizing revenue from group accounts and coordinating cross-departmental service.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of past sales experience preferred
- Hotel experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition, and key customers of the hotel
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
