Job Summary
Group Sales Manager at theWit Chicago oversees the hotel's group sales efforts to drive room revenue and catering/F&B revenue. Responsibilities include face-to-face appointments, telemarketing/prospecting, site inspections, on-site entertaining, networking for market segments, client appreciation events, and trade show participation; maintain and grow accounts through diligent follow-up, account management, and trace systems; lead by example to develop a high-performing sales team and achieve quarterly/annual SMART plans; collaborate across departments (banquet, culinary, operations) to ensure successful events and consistent Four Diamond-level service; requires 3+ years in hotel catering or event sales with strong negotiation, relationship-building, and organizational skills; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and networking events; travel for events may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in hotel catering, social catering, or event sales management
- Experience with Delphi, Social Tables, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills
