Job Summary
Proactively solicit, develop, and close group business for corporate meetings, government groups, associations, sports teams, and social events. Generate new revenue by prospecting, networking, and conducting strategic sales calls, while negotiating contracts and securing profitable deals. Respond promptly to leads and inquiries to maintain a healthy sales pipeline, utilizing Marriott sales systems like Knowland and CVENT to identify opportunities. Conduct hotel site tours and client presentations, then provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after each event to foster repeat business. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals while cultivating long-term client relationships that maximize revenue across both hotel brands.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hotel sales experience
- Proven success in proactive sales, business development, and account management
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Experience managing group bookings and client relationships from prospecting through execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with exceptional time-management abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative sales team
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent hotel sales experience)
