Job Summary
Group Sales Manager at OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park is responsible for securing group bookings, especially within Native/Indigenous and government markets. You will communicate contract details to operations, solicit business from market segments, finalize contracts, manage forecasts and block segments (50+ rooms), participate in sales solicitation, and contribute to the resort’s yield-management strategies. The role requires leadership characteristics, cross-functional collaboration with hotel departments, planning and conducting pre-cons and post-cons, planning VIP amenities, preparing brochures/menus for prospective clients, and maintaining professional client interactions. Key skills include contract negotiation, RFP preparation, client outreach, market trend awareness, and proficiency with standard office software. The position emphasizes a people-first hospitality culture, teamwork, and opportunities for growth within Pyramid Global Hospitality.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous full-service hotel sales experience
- High school degree required; associates/bachelor’s degree preferred
- Fluency in English; strong business communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to prepare RFPs and contracts
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts and manage time to meet client needs
- Understanding of hotel operations and yield management strategies
- Experience booking groups in Native/Indigenous and state/federal government markets
- Ability to plan functions, space requirements, and meet client expectations
