Job Summary
Group Sales & Catering Manager at the Aloft Santa Clara is responsible for selling guestrooms for assigned market segments and supporting the sales team in achieving budgeted revenue and occupancy targets. The role requires leading and participating in presentations, negotiating sales contracts, coordinating site inspections, travel to customer sites, generating leads through calls, trade shows, referrals and networking, maintaining accurate sales records, and collaborating with operations to ensure guest satisfaction. Key duties include managing weekly sales calls, developing relationships with existing and new accounts, responding to inquiries within 24 business hours, and contributing to annual budgeting and owner reviews. Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and computer skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Education: College degree or High School Diploma with related experience
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of sales experience
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
- Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
