Job Summary
Group Rooms & Sales Coordinator responsible for being main contact for Group Room Reservations, maintaining professional relationships with customers, providing administrative support to the Director of Sales and Group Sales Managers, completing contracts and turnovers, managing group room blocks and cut-off dates, tracking group pickup and potential attrition, actively upselling room types, assisting in planning sales site inspections and tours, and preparing weekly/monthly production reporting. Requires strong organizational, computer, and property systems management skills; proficiency with Opera, Delphi FDC, and SynXis; and customer-service oriented, self-starting collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years of administrative experience.
- Previous Reservations/Catering/Sales Coordinator experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and displays a courteous, warm and professional manner.
- Excellent communications skills and effectively interact with all levels of employees, guests and vendors.
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team.
- Well organized, outgoing, team-oriented and creative.
- Ability to work under pressure; multi-task and follow-up skills.
- Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Opera and Delphi FDC experience preferred.
