Job Summary

Lead the project office and oversee Project Managers to ensure multi-disciplinary system projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and budget. Develop policies, standards, and procedures while establishing a robust governance framework aligned with ISO Quality Management System requirements. Manage project costs, profitability, and commercial performance by reviewing proposals, approving designs, and coordinating site surveys. Prioritize projects to maximize operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement across delivery methodologies. Support business development initiatives related to the product range and project capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma, BTech equivalent or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Minerals Processing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Formal Project Management qualification
  • Minimum 10 years' Project Management experience within an EPC, EPCM or multi-disciplinary engineering project environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing a department or project management function
  • Proven experience managing complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong experience in project execution, delivery, governance, cost management and commercial risk
  • Proven experience within the mining and minerals processing environment
  • In-depth understanding of ore processing and equipment and solutions used to improve processing performance
  • Demonstrated experience managing project teams and multidisciplinary resources
  • Strong understanding of the complete project management lifecycle, methodologies, techniques and tools
  • Strong understanding of: EPC and EPCM project environments
  • Strong understanding of: Multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of: Project execution and delivery strategies
  • Strong understanding of: Project governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of: Project cost control and commercial management
  • Strong understanding of: Engineering design and design approval processes
  • Strong understanding of: Tendering, proposals and project costing
  • Strong understanding of: Risk, issue and dependency management
  • Strong understanding of: Mining and minerals processing environments
  • Strong understanding of: Ore processing equipment and process improvement solutions
  • Strong understanding of: Project scheduling and resource planning
  • Strong understanding of: Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of: Microsoft Project
  • Strong leadership and people management capability
  • Ability to build, develop and lead high-performing project teams
  • Collaborative and customer-focused approach
  • Strong project planning, organising and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Desired Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification and Pr Eng registration would be a distinct advantage
