Job Summary
Mid-level Group Life Counselor II providing group counseling, intake procedures, evaluation, milieu management and supervision in a residential setting for adults and high-risk runaway youth with chemical dependency and potential mental health concerns. Builds self-esteem, problem-solving, and healthy communication while coordinating with treatment teams, courts, and community resources. Requires knowledge of WAC/WIG/RCW, thorough documentation, and ability to train/oversee patients in daily activities. Education requirement: Associate’s degree or a high school diploma with relevant experience; Bachelor’s can substitute for years of experience. Location: Seattle, WA; on-call/part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field
- Current First Aid Certificate
- TB testing at hire and annually thereafter
- Annual influenza vaccination required or approved exemption
- Valid Washington State driver’s license
- Background check
- Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 90 days of hire
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintained thereafter
