Job Summary
Group Leader - Production responsible for overseeing the daily production schedule execution to meet customer specifications and GMP requirements. Ensures manufacturing standards, yields and efficiencies; drives continuous improvement; promotes a safe, clean work environment; completes production documentation per policies; trains line employees on GMPs, SOPs and safety; resolves employee issues through the grievance process and supports recognitions, promotions, or disciplinary actions. Responsibilities include setting up computer controlled equipment, budgeting for the department, planning vacations to maintain staffing, maintaining open communication, prioritizing safety, monitoring performance and compliance with GMPs and procedures, and analyzing line data to identify and address losses. The role also involves owning the Centerline system, identifying root cause problems for chronic losses, and supervising and motivating others with strong teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- 3 years of Food Manufacturing experience (Minimum)
- 1 year as crew leader (Minimum)
- Strong math skills
- Speak, read, and write English
- Basic computer skills
- Effective Communication Skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment
- Ability to document and measure results
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Teamwork building skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
