Job Summary
Group Leader - Packaging leads daily production scheduling and ensures manufacturing in accordance with customer specifications and GMPs. Maintains or improves yields and efficiencies, promotes continuous improvement, trains line employees on GMPs, SOPs, safety, and job expectations, and manages production records and open communication. The role requires documenting changes, planning ahead for vacations to maintain staffing, monitoring safety, and upholding company rules and policies while coaching and motivating team members.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- 3 years of Food Manufacturing experience (Minimum)
- 1 year as crew leader (Minimum)
- Strong math skills
- Speak, read, and write English
- Basic computer skills
- Effective Communication Skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment
- Ability to document and measure results
- Ability to supervise and motivate others
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to endure cold temperatures
