Job Summary
Lead personnel in moving materials through designated areas while instructing them on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards. Train employees on proper PPE usage, equipment handling, and good housekeeping. Ensure quality deliveries and logging in Weiler Workshop, troubleshoot inaccurate deliveries, and oversee receiving of PO receipts and first article inspections. Communicate production needs, ensure routings are completed, and collaborate with other departments to meet project dates. Foster open communication, maintain positive relationships, and oversee accurate part handling throughout the facility. Assist the Area Manager in monitoring area performance and follow up on projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 – 5 years' related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Additional related education
- Ability to read, write and comprehend documents and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Basic computer skills with the ability to look up information (prints, BOM)
- Ability to read measuring devices such as a tape measure, weld fillet gauge, calipers, micrometer, a level, square, sight gages, protractor or angle finder
- Ability to read schematics and Weiler blueprints
- Solid analytical skills
- Ability to operate with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to effectively utilize resources
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and resolve them effectively
- Efficient in the use of software programs: Weiler Workshop, Intuitive, etc.
