Job Summary
Plan and execute educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for children, adapting them to different age groups and individual needs. Supervise children at all times to ensure safety, enforce program rules, and address behavioral issues promptly. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff while maintaining accurate records of attendance and incidents. Collaborate with the program coordinator and other staff to ensure cohesive delivery, manage program resources and supplies, and participate in required training and monthly meetings. Represent the YMCA professionally in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EDU 119
- BSAC
- Ability to manage a group of children and ensure their safety and well-being
- Ability to adapt activities and approaches to meet the needs of diverse participants
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address conflicts or issues effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and program stakeholders
- Ability to create a fun and supportive environment for children
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to the well-being and development of children
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., email, word processing)
