Job Summary

Provide work instruction and prioritize team tasks to ensure integration quality, production objectives, and schedules are met. Coordinate technician workload and flow to maintain standards for efficiency, quality, safety, and housekeeping. Perform complex builds, troubleshooting, and product preparation including assembly, repair, rework, and calibration to operational specifications. Conduct tests and inspections using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure generators to evaluate quality and compliance. Serve as first-level technical escalation for area technicians, resolving production process issues and escalating problems to management. Train employees on company work methods and skills development while administering performance and disciplinary assessments. Assist with skill assessments for hiring and foster employee morale through effective communication and complaint handling. Maintain labor and production records as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
  • Knowledge of quality standards and ESD-safe procedures
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and/or written instructions
  • Ability to use a variety of equipment including but not limited to power supplies, multimeters, leak detection/vacuum systems, pressure generators, volt meters, ohmmeters, ovens, soldering equipment, microscopes and a variety of precision hand tools
  • Communication Skills – The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all levels of supervision on the status of jobs
  • Equipment Selection – Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Finger Dexterity – The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Instructing – Teaching others how to do something
  • Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Near Vision – The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Reading Comprehension – The ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Repairing – Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools
  • Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
