Job Summary
Train employees and support operations across multiple production areas while leading by example to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. Complete production reporting documentation including labor tracking, quality reports, and corrective actions, and review Bills of Materials to identify required components. Perform equipment set-ups, run new and existing product configurations, and troubleshoot issues to maintain workflow efficiency. Ensure products meet quality requirements before advancing to the next operation and participate in Gemba Kaizen activities. This role is a 2nd shift position onsite in Vandalia, OH, for an existing vacancy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a leadership or lead-hand capacity
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Good mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to train and support team members effectively
- Location: Vandalia, OH (onsite)
- Schedule: 2nd Shift
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with production reporting systems and quality documentation
- Prior experience leading small teams in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product configurations
