Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate activities of Direct Support employees while managing operations, staffing, and budget for 1-3 ICF/IDD facilities. Ensure clients maintain a clean home and yard, and perform personal care duties including hygiene tasks, meal preparation, and goal implementation. Interview and hire Personal Care Assistants, prepare schedules, and delegate work activities to ensure adequate staffing coverage. Monitor three shifts by providing feedback on interactions with people supported, resolving employee issues, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring training requirements are met. Work closely with clinical staff to standardize procedures and explicate person-centered plans, maintaining harmony between employees and clients. Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- GED
- one year of experience working with the population served
- competency in supervisory skills
- college courses in Human Services, Social Work or Management
- Valid drivers' license
- automotive insurance
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
- Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs.
- provide CPR after certification
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to pass drug screen
