Job Summary
Group Home Caregiver at REM Community Services (a Sevita family organization) providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings. Responsibilities include socialization and behavioral development, health maintenance, medication administration, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, community integration, shopping, and other activities of daily living. Responsible for accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to service plans. May accompany individuals to medical appointments, monitor health, and ensure safety. Schedule includes Thursday and Fridays with every other weekend shifts (12pm-8pm or 8am-4pm). Wage: $16/hour. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and completion of required trainings; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum age 18; prior experience in human services preferred (at least 6 months); ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, with related responsibilities. The role is non-exempt, with potential part-time or full-time hours, and requires compliance with background checks and drug testing for new hires per state policies.
