Job Summary
Centralise and optimise the Group Company Car Fleet (>4,000 vehicles) by executing the centralisation program, refining the target operating model, and managing the cross-functional transformation. Design and harmonise a group-wide company car policy framework aligned with HR, tax, and works-council requirements across ALDI SÜD countries, while establishing full TCO transparency and delivering savings through standardisation and contract renegotiation. Coordinate RFPs for leasing, insurance, and fuel providers; negotiate group framework agreements in collaboration with Group Procurement; and manage external providers via SLAs and KPIs. Propose vehicle options and powertrain mixes based on TCO and regulatory outlook, manage EV charging solutions, and own fleet CO2 reporting for CSRD/ESG compliance. Select and implement a group fleet management system, define master data standards, and ensure group-wide compliance with duty-of-care obligations and insurance coverage. Align with country management, Finance, and employee representatives as the single point of contact for fleet topics, communicating changes to drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or a comparable field
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, mobility services, automotive leasing or category management for vehicle fleets
- Proven track record in tendering and negotiating leasing/fleet service contracts and in managing external providers via SLAs and KPIs
- Experience with centralisation, outsourcing or transformation projects in an international, multi-entity environment
- Ability to operate effectively without formal line authority over country organisations
- Working knowledge of the regulatory and tax context of company cars (benefit-in-kind taxation, holder liability, insurance) in at least one core ALDI SÜD market
- Business-fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Certified fleet manager qualification
- Strong analytical and commercial skill set (TCO modelling, business cases, confident use of Excel/BI tools)
- Experience with fleet management software and telematics data
- Interest in the broader corporate mobility agenda (mobility budgets, bike leasing, shared mobility) and the ambition to grow the role beyond the car fleet
- Hands-on, structured, resilient and comfortable driving change against grown local habits, with the diplomacy to keep stakeholders on board
- Any additional language of the ALDI SÜD countries
