Job Summary
The Group Fitness Instructor will deliver motivational instruction during group fitness classes, helping members achieve their fitness goals while fostering a high-energy environment. Responsibilities include tracking attendance, responding to member inquiries, participating in team meetings, and engaging with the instructor portal and social media for updates. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, a nationally accredited group fitness certification, and a CPR/AED certification. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching various exercise classes and possess strong communication and customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Nationally Accredited Group Fitness Certification required (AFAA, ACE, or NASM preferred)
- CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Experience teaching group fitness classes (bootcamp, kickboxing, Zumba, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to provide a high energy class environment
