Job Summary
Define annual review plans for global and UK-focused FinCrime monitoring and testing programs. Supervise end-to-end control reviews from scoping to reporting, validate issues, and train first-line teams on remediation. Lead execution of monitoring activities for key financial crime risks, build dashboards with subject matter experts, and create repeatable test scripts aligned with regulatory requirements. Manage board-level reporting on compliance performance and collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Product, Compliance, and Internal Audit. Maintain methodologies to ensure alignment with global and local regulatory standards while streamlining processes across regions.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience (>8 years) conducting and leading assurance reviews and issue validation work within Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk, or Audit functions
- Experience in a payments or fintech environment
- Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations, testing methodologies, and risk assessment frameworks, particularly in relation to UK rules and global compliance requirements
- Proven track record in leading compliance monitoring and testing reviews across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with local and global teams
- Experience coaching more junior team members to help them develop and ensure they deliver high-quality work
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into effective monitoring and testing activities
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders in an effective manner
- Based in London
- Open to occasional travel to other locations abroad (roughly once a quarter)
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or related fields
