Job Summary
Lead technical accounting matters under IFRS and US GAAP at the Group level, serving as the key expert for complex transactions including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and acquisitions. Issue position papers on interpretation of standards for significant transactions and prepare IFRS accounting entries and templates for leases, segment reporting, and disposals. Manage the transition of consolidated financial statements from IFRS to US GAAP and lead migrations of lease and revenue systems for newly acquired operations. Act as the internal expert for IFRS technical issues, validate key issues with external auditors, and develop IFRS capabilities across the Group through training programs. This individual contributor role supports the CFO and Audit Committee with Group IFRS consolidated financial statements and key issues.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IFRS and US GAAP reporting
- 5* years of Proven experience in project management
- Background in a Big 4 audit firm or experience preparing IFRS financial statements
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid work permit (or legal authorization to work in the hiring country) at the time of employment
