Group Financial Accountant (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Job Summary
Lead group financial accounting for the firm, manage VAT/CT/tax filings, produce statutory accounts, oversee treasury and cashflow, coordinate audits and regulatory filings, manage relationships with external advisers, supervise two assistant accountants, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, ensure accurate monthly management reporting, and provide clear internal communications. Role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally full-time but flexible/part-time options may be considered. Requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and experience in a professional services environment; strong data management, confidentiality, and stakeholder reporting skills. Office-based in Cambridge with UK banking and regulatory interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Experience of line managing small team of qualified/part-qualified accountants
- Experience of managing the management accounting function
- Experience of managing external audits for SME
- Experience of managing all tax (direct and indirect) affairs for SME
