Job Summary
Senior finance-operations role spanning bookkeeping, month-end close, AP/AR, payroll coordination, cash flow, and inventory planning across an investment trust and two Australian entities. Lead the financial rhythm and operating controls using Xero, ApprovalMax, and Unleashed; measure success by cash protection, cost reductions, and actionable insights rather than hours. Work with the founder and a small team of Australian accountants to ensure clean books, clear cash visibility, and strong inventory control, with a 0.8 FTE, 4 days/week schedule and a focus on value-creation across entities.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years finance + ops experience for SMEs / owner-operated businesses
- Deep, current Xero across multi-entity setups
- Strong Australian tax context — BAS, GST, STP, FBT
- Demonstrated cashflow operator
- Google Sheets fluency
- Inventory exposure — reorder points, EOQ, S&OP rhythm
