Group Finance Manager

Job Summary

Control routine accounting, maintain proper books of accounts, and lead a team of accountants to ensure accurate reporting, payables/receivables management, and invoicing. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts to account for revenue across operations, prepare and maintain financial statements including consolidation, and lead group budgeting and forecasting. Build and manage detailed cash flow models, manage overheads within budgets, and implement accounting policies aligned with IFRS rules. Enforce reporting integrity through the audit process, ensure treasury functions minimize costs and optimize foreign exchange exposure, and guarantee accurate tax compliance and statutory filings across entities. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets, lead group annual audits and tax reviews, and manage intra-group funding structures and transfer pricing policies. This role requires over 5 years of experience with IFRS reporting standards, a CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification, and regional experience in emerging markets. Based in Nairobi with coverage across UAE, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, the position reports to the Group Head of Finance.

Required Qualifications

  • Regional experience in emerging markets

  • Over 5 years' experience in reputed organizations in the field of Finance and Accounts
  • Experience in the fintech space
  • Experience in digital banking / lending products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Must be a CPA (K), Chartered Accountant or related qualification
