Job Summary
Facilitate and document group therapy at detox and residential levels, providing group psychotherapy to meet client treatment needs. Participate in de-escalation or crisis interventions when necessary, communicating pertinent information to the primary treatment team. Document client progress, regression, group notes, and crisis interventions in a clear, concise, timely manner. Assist in developing treatment plans and updates while collaborating with other team members. Maintain proper chain of command, report patient rights abuse immediately, and ensure safety-conscious work practices. Comply with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations. Meet with supervisors regularly to identify and correct problem areas.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Therapist or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
- CPR/AED/First-Aid certified within 30 days of placement in role
- NCI+ Prevention Certification upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or health related field preferred
- 1 or more years addiction treatment center experience preferred
