Job Summary
Facilitate group counseling sessions for 3-20 clients by clarifying meeting content, establishing ground rules, and selecting methods to achieve results. Resolve conflicts within the group to return focus to goals while maintaining neutrality and ensuring civil dialogue. Build positive relationships with clients through active listening, empathetic connection, and offering reassurance, practical assistance, and psycho-education. Provide organized, structured environments and document individualized notes in the electronic medical record system after each session. Apply evidence-based interactive facilitation and motivational interviewing skills to help participants reach decisions and accomplish goals. Manage high levels of stress while remaining knowledgeable about compassion fatigue and burnout.
