Job Summary

Facilitate evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups, life skills workshops, and educational programming for adults on parole within a CDCR Day Reporting Center. Conduct group and individual meetings using motivational interviewing, evaluate participant progress, and document behavior and service outcomes. Collaborate with staff to develop individualized Case Management Plans, participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, and support participant accountability. Maintain accurate documentation, collect urine samples for anti-drug testing, and assist with community service activities as assigned. Launch this new program in July 2026 under contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from an accredited college or university
  • minimum of one (1) year of experience providing CBT services to justice-involved populations
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience providing CBT services to justice-involved populations
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing
  • Knowledge of evidence-based rehabilitative interventions
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to effectively engage diverse participant populations in individual and group settings
  • Experience with case management
  • Experience with treatment planning
  • Experience with participant documentation
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries
  • Ability to uphold ethical standards of conduct
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOJ Live Scan background clearance
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license
  • Must possess no serious infractions within the past four (4) years on the driver's license
  • Must be insurable under the agency's automobile insurance policy
  • Must have access to reliable personal transportation for work-related duties
  • Must possess current TB clearance
  • Must possess CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain upon hire
