Job Summary
Conduct group exercise classes following YMCA guidelines while securing sub coverage, ensuring punctuality, and taking attendance. Greet participants, learn their names, and adapt instruction based on identified limitations. Utilize Upace Group Ex technology for tracking and communication, check emails timely, and safely operate all equipment. Promote a healthy lifestyle and attend annual training workshops. Ensure compliance with all policies and perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 1 year of participation in group exercise class(es)
- Possess and maintains at least one current Group Exercise certificate of completion or specialty certificate from a reputable organization for each specialized group modality
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in classes and activities
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
