Group Exercise Instructor

Lead and deliver YMCA group exercise classes to members and prospective members, providing excellent customer service, building member relationships, and guiding participants to reach fitness goals. Educate members on sound fitness principles in line with ACSM recommendations, enforce arena policies and safety guidelines, and maintain a clean, safe class space. Communicate effectively with other group exercise staff and members, participate in abuse risk management training, and demonstrate YMCA core values while engaging diverse age groups and ability levels. Must have Group Exercise Instructor Certification and a High School Diploma or equivalent; ability to lead classes and present information to participants, with strong leadership and presentation skills.
