Job Summary
Instructs energizing, safe group fitness classes (bootcamp/HIIT/HYROX style) for YMCA members in Newton, MA, delivering safe, engaging workouts that promote member wellness and community. Leads classes per supervisor, answers member questions to support goals related to healthy living, builds authentic relationships within the YMCA, maintains accurate class attendance, and follows YMCA policies and procedures including responding to emergencies. Requires CPR, First Aid, AED, and national certification in group fitness instruction (ACE/NETA/AFAA/NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification; YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire; at least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
