Job Summary
Group Exercise Instructor needed to lead energizing, safe, and educational group fitness classes at our YMCA. Responsibilities include recording class attendance, ensuring proper equipment, building authentic member relationships, adapting approaches to participants’ abilities and health, and supporting a safe environment in alignment with abuse-prevention policies. Qualified candidates hold a current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification, have 1+ year teaching experience (preferably multi-format), and CPR/AED/First Aid certification. ALL FORMATS CONSIDERED.
Required Qualifications
- Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally recognized organization
- Minimum 1-year consistent teaching experience
- Ability to teach 2 or more class formats is desired
- CPR/AED, first-aid certification
- Abuse Prevention Responsibilities
