Job Summary
Lead safe, effective, and engaging group exercise classes for members and guests, delivering content that promotes participant success, safety, and enjoyment. Educate attendees on proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and training principles while monitoring participants to provide appropriate modifications and progressions. Maintain studios and equipment in clean, organized, and safe conditions before and after sessions, and promote group exercise programming and wellness initiatives. Communicate participant concerns or facility issues to department leadership. Ensure adherence to established exercise standards and foster a welcoming, motivating environment. Requires current nationally recognized group fitness certification and CPR/AED certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current nationally recognized group fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, ISSA, Les Mills, or equivalent applicable certification)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Knowledge of exercise science principles, proper exercise techniques, and participant safety guidelines
- Ability to lead and motivate participants of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance
- Commitment to providing exceptional member experiences
- Must undergo and pass a post-offer drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of group exercise instruction experience
