Job Summary
Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes for members and guests of varying fitness levels while demonstrating proper exercise techniques and providing modifications for individual needs. Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting members by name, assisting participants in achieving wellness goals through education, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of studios and equipment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer CPR or first aid when necessary, adhering to all safety and operational standards. Requires current certification from an accredited organization, CPR/AED certification, and at least six months of professional fitness experience. Work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays within a Forbes-level luxury resort environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR/AED Certification
- Minimum six months of experience in a professional fitness center, wellness facility, health club, or studio environment
- Current certification from an accredited fitness organization
- Strong knowledge of exercise science, fitness instruction, proper exercise technique, and participant safety
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to demonstrate exercises, movements, and class formats for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, lift, and move throughout scheduled classes
- Must maintain a professional level of physical fitness appropriate for instructing classes
- Ability to assist participants and provide hands-on guidance when appropriate
