Job Summary
Leads energizing and educational group classes to support the YMCA mission and goals. Maintains a working knowledge of wellness trends, answers questions to help members achieve their health goals, and builds authentic relationships with members. Responsibilities include keeping accurate class attendance records. Requires strong communication skills, CPR and First Aid certification, and completion of a Basic Instructor Training Course or specialty certification.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and/or completed one specialty certification
Desired Qualifications
- Multi-lingual skills
- National Group Exercise Certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NETA) and/or BS in related field
