Job Summary
Group EU R&T Business Manager responsible for prioritizing EU-level R&T areas in line with MBDA's product/tech strategy, coordinating MBDA Directorates and National WIN TLs on EU R&T proposals, and engaging with EU institutions (EDA, EU Commission) and customers to develop partnerships and joint projects. The role focuses on win strategies for annual calls, consortia building, WBS and budget sharing, and shaping plans for new EU R&T/R&D opportunities across Horizon Europe and related programs. Requires strong negotiation skills, a group–mindset, and the ability to work across multinational teams. Based in Rome, Italy, with fluency in English and over 10 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in R&T/business development or related field
- Fluent in English
- Ability to interact with MBDA Directorates, EU institutions (EDA, EU Commission), and external stakeholders
- Experience in building consortia, defining WBS and workshare/budget sharing
- Capability to prioritize EU-level R&T areas in line with product/tech strategy
- Experience with planning and pursuing EU funding mechanisms (Captech, Brave-Tech, Horizon EU)
- Experience coordinating multi-national teams and navigating complex international environments
