Job Summary
Lead strategic planning and market intelligence for Aerospace & Advanced Technologies businesses, including newly acquired assets. Conduct proprietary assessments of market adjacencies to identify and screen potential acquisition targets for M&A activities. Build long-term market forecasts, analyze competitor trends, and present competitive intelligence to the executive team. Coordinate input across business teams to construct rigorous "where to play" and "how to win" strategies based on data-driven insights. This role reports to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Crane's Aerospace & Advanced Technologies segment. Located in Lynnwood, WA, the position requires 100% remote work with up to 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in strategy, market intelligence, marketing, product management, or business development in the aerospace and defense industry and/or in related industries, e.g., manufacturing, industrials, etc.
- Proficient in M&A prospecting, conducting strategic analyses, market research and diligence
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and high-performing culture
- Ability to comprehensively understand complex markets and technology trends, competitive insights, and industry dynamics within the Aerospace & Defense sector as well as adjacent high technology sectors (medical, semiconductor, industrial, automation, test and calibration equipment)
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies, adjacent market strategies, product strategies and/or business unit strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with expert level capabilities in PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficient in ThinkCell, Alpha Sense, DACIS, and other competitive intelligence platforms
- Hands-on knowledge and experience in marketing, market analysis, strategy, forecasting
- B.S. in a Business, Finance, or Engineering discipline is required
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds

- May need to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%)
