Job Summary

Chair the Data SteerCo and hold binding arbitration authority on shared data definitions to unlock named business outcomes like faster reporting and new revenue. Own the end-to-end unified customer view, replacing fragmented records with a single reliable source to drive accurate growth tracking and cross-sell. Define master data ontologies and taxonomies by business urgency, while delivering core internal data products such as the customer single source of truth and semantic layer with clear SLAs. Challenge design decisions before they ship to ensure correct data capture at the source and assess lineage impact with the engineering team. Lead-to-cash data connections across RevOps and Finance to guarantee trustworthy revenue reporting. Deliver in stages with reporting continuity guaranteed throughout.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • 8-12 years in data governance, master data management, or data product leadership

  • Proven track record as the accountable, named owner of a cross-functional data domain
  • Credibility to make binding calls that stick
  • Business-Value Orientation: treating governance as a means, not an end
  • Ability to articulate the business outcome a data initiative unlocks
  • Hands-on experience defining data ontologies, taxonomies, master data strategies, and data contracts
  • Experience taking an organization from fragmented, system-specific definitions to one shared standard
  • Strong track record aligning stakeholders with competing priorities up to CFO/CMO level
  • Experience chairing a steering committee or governance forum with real stakes
  • Comfort with SQL
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (e.g. Snowflake)

  • Ability to review data models
  • Capability to hold informed technical conversations with engineers and data scientists
  • Structured and delivery-oriented mindset
  • Experience managing a roadmap with multiple parallel workstreams
  • Ability to bring initiatives to completion against hard deadlines
  • Comfort working across geographies, time zones, and cultures

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain, quality management, inspection/testing services, or similar operational domains
  • Understanding of ERP/CRM data flows (e.g. NetSuite, Zoho)
  • Familiarity with data catalogue, lineage, or governance platforms
  • Appetite to grow the role into full enterprise data governance ownership as new domains onboard
