Job Summary
Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients and members promptly, calculating termination, retirement, marriage breakdown, and death benefits per plan provisions and legislation. Coordinate information flow between clients and the administration team while accurately preparing year-end annual pension statements and maintaining data integrity within the group annuity database. Assist with special projects as required to support the Defined Benefits administration team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and is part of a global team administering plans for over five million participants.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of Defined Benefit pension administration experience
- Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration
- Advanced knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans
- Advanced knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislation
- Experience reviewing pension calculations and member transactions
- The ability to lead projects, taking ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with ease
- Excellent analytical skills
- A strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumen
- Knowledge of English is required for this position
