Job Summary
Group Advantage Consultant at RBC focuses on delivering Group Retirement Savings value to commercial/corporate clients. The role anchors clients to Group Retirement Savings and Financial Wellness programs, spending ~60% of time on lead generation and ~40% on sales activation. Responsibilities include identifying referral opportunities for Mortgage Assistance and Capital Loan Programs, promoting the RBC Group Advantage value proposition with partners and in external markets, building and maintaining relationships with senior managers across Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management, enabling activities that drive acquisition of new Group Advantage Sponsors, and occasional evening or weekend work. Requires strong prospecting and business development skills, an entrepreneurial and self-managed approach, a current network of influential contacts, and potential designation in retirement benefits (RPA/CEBS) with willingness to complete coursework within 18 months. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mobile literacy is expected. The position is based in Canada (Mississauga or Toronto) with full-time salaried employment and a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
Required Qualifications
- Must-have: Strong prospecting, networking and business development skills
- Must-have: Excellent relationship-building skills internally and externally to identify and implement strategies that drive business growth
- Must-have: Independent, entrepreneurial and self-management skills to achieve planned goals
- Must-have: Experience creating a referral network and a current, extensive network ofCenters of Influence
- Must-have: Designation as a Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or willingness to complete required courses to achieve the RPA designation within 18 months of start date
- Nice-to-have: Excellent presentation, communication, time management and organizational skills
- Nice-to-have: Highly developed PC and mobile literacy with demonstrated digital capability using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Nice-to-have: Action oriented and creative business acumen
- Must-have: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
