Groundworker

Groundperson assists in all ground activities during vegetation maintenance along power lines. Identifies safety hazards while using tools and equipment to address brush and debris, loads vehicles and equipment with manageable limbs and logs, cuts brush with hand saws and ground saws, collects debris, applies herbicide and growth regulators to brush and stumps, operates hazardous equipment (chainsaw, pole pruner, stump grinder, woodchipper), and directs traffic with proper signage. Maintains awareness of OSHA regulations and company safety policies, cooperates with property owners and emergency personnel, and supports routine vehicle and equipment maintenance. Travel may be required during emergencies or storms; the role requires the ability to work long hours and overtime, and to communicate professionally in English (Spanish listed as a language option).
