Job Summary
Groundworker Temp position supporting line and substation crews in installing handholes, pedestals and secondary wiring for new/upgrade electrical services; inspects equipment, maintains vegetation around underground equipment, and assists in both overhead and underground construction and maintenance. Responsibilities include delivering tools/materials, cleaning and maintaining vehicles/equipment, performing labor tasks such as trenching and wiring, and supporting safety procedures. Requires a High School diploma or GED; CDL preferred; 40 hours/week, up to 10 months, with a pay rate of $27.60/hour. Location: Loveland, CO, on-site. Benefits include limited medical coverage. First readings for applicants begin soon; employment is contingent on background checks and DOT considerations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Vocational/Technical certificate from an approved electric lineworker training program preferred
- Six (6) months experience with an electrical distribution utility preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
- Willingness to learn underground installation practices and basic electrical safety procedures
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and the public
- Able to perform physical labor including lifting and operating tools and equipment
