Job Summary
Groundsperson responsible for clearing debris and maintaining safe work areas, performing vegetation management tasks from ground level using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment; set up/break down material and equipment; feed brush into woodchipper; load/unload logs, stumps, brush, and debris from trucks; operate various trucks and equipment; perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment; tie knots and manage lines; safeguard employees and the public and flag traffic; work long hours and overtime during emergencies; position requires full-time hours as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred
- Valid Driver’s license required
- CDL preferred
- Work authorization requirements: Must meet I-9 requirements
