Job Summary
Cut brush and trees using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment to keep work areas clear. Define staging areas, prepare and feed material into woodchippers, and load/unload trucks with logs, stumps, and debris. Operate various trucks and equipment as assigned while performing basic maintenance and keeping all machinery neat and orderly. Flag traffic to safeguard employees and the public from hazards. Work long hours and overtime during emergencies as required. This full-time role with Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and experience in utility vegetation management, construction, or logging.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license
- Must meet I-9 requirements
- Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job
- Able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies
- Must be available for overtime and/or weekends
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries
- CDL
