Job Summary
Groundsperson supports the crew by working from the ground to clear brush and trees from right-of-way, load/unload debris, and perform cleanup at job sites. Responsibilities include using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws; loading logs and debris, feeding brush into a brush chipper; using hand lines to lower limbs; setting up/breaking down road signs; flagging traffic to protect workers and the public; driving trucks or operating other equipment; performing basic maintenance on trucks and equipment; complying with safety rules and maintaining PPE; performing storm-work duties as needed; travel for storm restoration; and ensuring safety and communication with co-workers. Requires physical strength, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, hearing instructions, ability to pass a background check and drug screen, and I-9/E-Verify compliance. This is a full-time role with benefits including health insurance and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or education equivalent preferred
- Must have and maintain a Driver’s License if hired for a driving position
- Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must meet I-9 requirements. This employer participates in E-Verify
