Job Summary
Groundsperson on a Forest City, AR crew supporting vegetation management tasks from the ground: clearing brush and trees, loading/unloading logs and debris, feeding brush into a chipper, flagging traffic, driving or operating equipment as assigned, and performing routine truck/equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down road signs, safeguarding coworkers and the public, following safety rules, performing storm-work duties when needed, and communicating with teammates. Required skills include operating hand tools and gas-powered equipment (chainsaw, pruners, pole saw, hand pruners, loppers), physical strength and balance to work in uneven terrain and outdoors, ability to obtain/maintain first-aid certification and CPR, and a valid Driver’s License if driving. Education and experience preferences emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in related industries.
Required Qualifications
