Job Summary
Clear brush and trees from right-of-way using handsaws, pole saws, and chain saws, then load and unload trucks with logs and debris while feeding material into the brush chipper. Drive a F-750 Chip Truck between multiple job sites, coordinating time and management to ensure daily clean-up, and perform basic maintenance on equipment. Flag traffic to protect employees and the public, enforce safe job practices, and safeguard the work area by keeping it clear of hazards. Perform duties for storm restoration work when needed, maintaining balance on uneven terrain and operating tools independently. This full-time role in Cumming, GA requires a valid Driver's License, physical endurance for an eight-to-ten hour day, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- active valid Driver's License
- physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use chain saw and pruners in uneven terrain
- ability to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
- ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance
- ability to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
- ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
- ability to comprehend verbal job instructions/information
- ability to maintain balance over uneven terrain
- ability to communicate with others
- endurance necessary to perform duties throughout a standard eight or ten hour day
- ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment
- ability to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries
- High School diploma or education equivalent
